ABOUT ME
Welcome!
I am Amanda Langan, a licensed esthetician and the owner of Beauties & Blokes skincare studio located in Janesville, Wisconsin. A cancer diagnosis in 2015 gave me the opportunity to re-evaluate my life in many ways, and after a career as a writer, journalist and corporate communications professional, I decided to pursue a career in the beauty industry. In 2017, I became a Certified Lash Extension Artist and created Park Lane Lashes...but I wanted more. An opportunity presented itself in 2020 - a silver lining amid a global pandemic. Always in pursuit of knowledge and the opportunity of new experiences, I received my Esthetics degree from First Class Cosmetology School in Beloit, Wisconsin, obtained my state license, and expanded services to include skincare, waxing, lash lift, lash/brow tinting, and airbrush spray tanning, and re-branded my business as Beauties & Blokes in 2021. I am passionate about esthetics as it relates to overall wellness, and strive to bring professional, quality, yet luxurious services and products to my clients with affordable rates and realistic expectations.
I use Dermalogica and Bioelements products and am a partner spa with both product lines for skincare, am Lash Lift Certified with Elleebana and Borboleta, as well as a Certified Lash Extension Artist with Borboleta. Since 2017, I have had the privilege of boosting confidence and creating beautiful lash looks for hundreds of women! I am also proud to be a guest educator where I was a former student, at First Class Cosmetology School; I have enjoyed teaching students and sharing my knowledge in the art of lash extensions since 2021. I am also a Certified Spray Tan Artist with certifications from the nationally-recognized industry favorite Norvell and the local and woman-owned small business RD Artistry in Rockford, Illinois.
The name Beauties & Blokes is inspired from my English heritage and love of Great Britain. Everyone knows what a Beauty is, but you may be wondering...what is a Bloke? The term Bloke is an informal British noun for a man. All of my services are designed to suit women and men, hence, the name Beauties & Blokes!
THE STUDIO
Located at 2640 Milton Avenue in Janesville, Wisconsin, inside the Urban Suites building, Beauties & Blokes is near local businesses and restaurants and I-39/90. This space is quiet, peaceful and private, with ample on-site free parking.

Our skin: it's right there for everyone to see, but often times, it is the most neglected. Let me help your skin get the attention it deserves. In my practice, I have the following goals for my clients: to educate about the importance of skincare, to discover the power of professional esthetics and recognize skincare as a true investment in your overall health.
Not Ready For Needles?
Not everyone wants Botox or fillers. That's okay! The ability to blend the power of nature and science with Bioelements and Dermalogica skin care products will perfectly compliment skincare treatments specific to your individual needs. I focus on holistic and non-invasive treatments that are budget friendly and rejuvenating.
Whether you are looking to incorporate preventative skincare treatments into your routine, or you have skincare concerns, can help. I offer consultations with realistic goals at each service to help treat, prevent, manage, minimize or correct in a non-clinical setting. If there is a concern of yours that is out of my scope of practice, I will be happy to help you find a provider that can best help your needs above and beyond esthetics.
